The relationship between pupil diameter and arousal and attention
Project in progress, led by China Psychological Association Organization . This research will focuses on indicators about individual arousal levels. Compared with traditional behavior indicators, it will place special emphasis on measuring peak pupil diameter or average pupil diameter change over the trial interval. Because pupil size has long been linked to arousal, and emotional stimuli are often used to evoke arousal as the pupil dilates in response to affective processing. In additions, the magnitude of the ERP components P1, P2, and N2 are always examined when analyzing the automatic processing and arousal of emotional stimuli.
Appropriate indicators will be used to determine arousal levels and marked continuous change of arousal.
